Movement is the secret to having photos that feel natural and not forced; it's hard to worry about how you look when you're focused moving around! I love to prompt my couples to start several steps away from me and challenge them to run towards the camera while holding hands and bumping hips! As silly and cooky as it might sound and feel, it makes for the cutest photos (especially hilarious hip bumps!)

We're never too old for piggy-back rides! I love seeing my couples' eyes light up at this suggestion; too often when we grow up, we forget about the simple things in life that brought us joy. So as you struggle to figure out how to manoeuvre onto your partner's back, I'll snap away and get hilarious candids to look back on.

Who said balloons are only for kids?! I love when couples get creative with props to include in photos and I equally enjoying finding fun ways to incorporate them into the photos. This couple hosted an engagement party and had the cutest decor and props for the event! With a slightly obnoxiously large balloon, I thought it would be fun for a cheeky shot that gives the illusion of a hidden smooch.

Now this is one intimate photo! And I'm afraid to say, one of the most confusing to get couples to finagle their limbs to cooperate and achieve. Fortunately for this couple, they understood the assignment and pulled it off flawlessly! The best way to achieve this cozy photo is to snuggle up nice and close and wrap your arm around their shoulder and have the snuggle-ee use their inner hand to clasp with the one on their shoulder. For optimal cuteness, a lil kiss on the nose adds a soft touch and an intimate vibe. But a much easier explanation is to save this photo to bring along for inspo!

I love playing off of the chemistry between couples for fun photos like this! I love prompting couples to snuggle in nice and close and telling one partner to whisper a joke into their lover's ear. What's being said, I'll never know; but the results are classically lovely!

Dancing for couples doesn't always have to be structured; it can be a break in the session for couples to let loose and have fun together. Even if it's a simple two step from side to side, let yourself relax as you lose yourselves while looking into each other's eyes. After getting warmed up and in the mood, you'll sometimes hear me yell out "now dip!" Sometimes we get picturesque photos like this and other times you'll get giggle photos as someone almost loses their footing but never (at least, not yet!) falls. Either way, natural photos of you both having fun!

We all know and love this classic pose that screams madly in love! With a simple background, this pose never fails to make me go "awwwww!" from behind the camera. There's just something that is reminiscent of feel-good rom coms that we can't help create during a fun couple session.

During those cold fall/winter months, this cute intimate moment makes for a loving memory to look back on. Warming up your partner's hands is such a simple gesture and a even more heart felt moment to look back on.

Showing off wedding/engagement rings creatively can be a challenge but who says they have to be boring? Traditional photos are nice to have, but finding cool ways to highlight your rings are a fun task that I love to challenge myself with! With one partner standing in front, this is one pose that I gently direct you to have each person holding the other's ring. We might look like a tangle of limbs to the common passerby, but the result is a stunning juxtaposing detail shot of the couple.

Lifts and carry's are always fun for both parties and I find that couples enjoy giggling together as they navigate how exactly they're going to get situated. There's no right way to achieve a photo like this so I typically encourage couples to have one person lift up the other and smile!

I love getting the opportunity to play around with different levels when stairs are around in the environment. They provide the chance to offer a unique perspective and to get creative in helping elevate human connection. No longer are we just taking a seat, but we're finding a way to tell a snippet of a love story by using all of what our environment has to offer. If possible, I like to tell couples to close their eyes and just be in the moment with their partner and not worry about smiling or having to look a certain way. Just basking in the presence of each other is a powerful moment to capture and look back on.

A spin on the classic "prom pose" is what had this couple cheesing and having fun on a beautiful fall day. Sometimes playing into classic poses and not being afraid to relax and let loose can leave room for some cute photos!

As silly as it may seem, the titanic pose is one that couples end up having a blast recreating! Poses that are unconventional and play into couples being a lil silly make for the most cherished photos because I find that they remember how much fun they had in the moment getting the shot!

To warm couples up for a session, I like to start out with this super simple cute pose to help them get in the zone and let down their guard for the camera. You'll definitely hear my yell out, "I want y'all to touch foreheads and look into each others eyes. Think megamind!" If the smile was fake at first, once they hear megamind it always happens to turn it into a real one as giggles follow suite.

I always love slowing sessions down to give the ring a bit of the spotlight! I love to get up close and personal and snap a few shots of the couple cozied up with a focus on the ring. I tell couples to relax and close their eyes with a soft smile as they think about their lives together. The variation of smiles may vary but it never fails for an organic, timeless engagement photo.
